AFSCME Fallen Heroes Fund

Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee left a trail of destruction along the East Coast, and Council 82 and AFSCME members worked overtime to get people to safety, clear road hazards and restore water, sewer and other essential services. But many of our members now have to cope with their own losses – including homes that were severely damaged in the forceful storm.

Through the AFSCME Fallen Heroes Fund, help is available to provide relief and assistance to members who were victims of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

To be eligible members must:

1) establish they live in a zip code declared a disaster area by FEMA

2) be a member in good standing

3) have suffered a loss during the storms
